Project Overview

Industrial environments often expose workers to hazardous conditions where manual checks are insufficient. This system ensures workplace safety by continuously monitoring environmental and equipment parameters like gas leaks and high temperatures, providing real-time data and automated alerts to prevent accidents.

System Architecture

Hardware Components

  • Controllers: Arduino/Raspberry Pi

  • Alert Mechanism: High-decibel Buzzers, LED indicators

  • Embedded Code: Python / C++ for microcontrollers.

  • Remote Alerts: SMS/email notifications via cloud gateways.

System Workflow

The system uses a network of IoT-enabled sensors to monitor parameters like gas concentration and temperature. Data is processed in real-time by local microcontrollers. If any parameter crosses a predefined safety threshold, the system triggers immediate on-site alarms (buzzers and lights) and simultaneously sends emergency notifications to supervisors' mobile devices.
